Quarteen is the work of BB, the Bedfordshire-based musician and producer previously of Mercury Prize-nominated Maps and BBC 6 Music featured Silver Arm.
Built around the idea of soft technology, Quarteen makes music as an act of empathy: circuits wired with care, machines used to connect rather than consume.
These are songs from an alternate timeline where the ideals of the Whole Earth Catalog found their way into code: open, communal, self-reliant and endlessly curious. A future where computers became companions, helping people think, make and feel together rather than compete for their attention.
Quarteen is music from that future. Soft technology for a harder world.
